Rigging Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled Creature TD to join our team at DNEG Group. As a key member of our rigging department, you will be responsible for developing high-quality rigs and simulations for creatures, digital doubles, vehicles, props, and other complex assets.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex rigs and simulations for creatures and other assets using Maya and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rigs and simulations into the production pipeline.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of creature anatomy, physiology, and behavior to inform rigging and simulation design.
- Work closely with the creature team to develop and implement new techniques and tools for rigging and simulation.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for rigging and simulation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in feature film production, with a strong background in rigging and simulation.
- Thorough knowledge of Maya and other relevant tools, including scripting and programming languages such as Python and Mel.
- Excellent understanding of creature anatomy, physiology, and behavior, as well as a strong visual and artistic sense.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
