Job Description

Job Title: Primary Teacher - Maternity Cover

Job Type: Full-time

Location: London

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher to join our team as maternity cover for a Year 4 class. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active learning
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience
  • Engage with parents and guardians, fostering strong home-school partnerships

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly in key stage 1
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping children reach their full potential
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and current teaching methods
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
