As a Credit Risk Management Analyst at Glow Services Corp, you will be instrumental in shaping and refining the organization's credit risk management initiatives. Your primary focus will be on data evaluation, constructing credit risk frameworks, and overseeing the performance of credit portfolios to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure that credit risk methodologies are in harmony with corporate objectives while adhering to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Development of Credit Risk Strategies:

  • Support the Vice President of Credit Risk in formulating and enhancing credit risk strategies that align with business objectives, including improving acceptance rates and refining decision-making protocols.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of credit risk models and frameworks that meet organizational goals.

2) Data Analysis and Risk Evaluation:

  • Examine data to uncover patterns, evaluate risk levels, and deploy effective risk mitigation measures.
  • Assess the performance of credit risk scorecards and propose modifications for ongoing enhancement.

3) Management of Credit Portfolios:

  • Oversee the performance of the credit portfolio, pinpointing areas for enhancement and proactively offering solutions.
  • Create and sustain standardized reporting tools for client portfolio assessments.

4) Collaboration and Support:

  • Work alongside cross-functional teams, including Business Development and Client Relationship Managers, to synchronize credit risk strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Assist Client Relationship Managers with data inquiries and credit-related issues.
  • Establish strong partnerships with external suppliers.
  • Represent the Credit and Risk teams in internal discussions.

5) Compliance with Regulations:

  • Ensure that all credit risk management practices are in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

6) Monitoring and Reporting of Performance:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of credit risk strategies.
  • Identify performance exceptions and recommend corrective measures.
  • Generate and distribute monthly performance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

7) Management of Scorecards:

  • Regularly review scorecard performance and suggest adjustments for consideration.
  • Assist in implementing scorecard modifications to enhance credit decision accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in credit risk analysis, credit risk modelling, or a similar field.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Experience in developing and refining credit risk strategies.
  • Background in a regulated environment with a focus on best practices in credit risk management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of scorecard development and management.
  • Experience in portfolio monitoring and performance reporting.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, including those set by relevant authorities.
