We are seeking a dedicated Production Shift Manager to join our team at our Merthyr Tydfil location. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy retail packing department.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of production line members, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles (5S, SMED, Kaizen) to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Set and deliver challenging targets, encouraging your team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Promote accountability within the team, ensuring adherence to business core values and regulatory standards (GMP).
  • Manage production costs effectively, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Provide guidance and support to your team members, fostering their professional development and growth.

Your Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in food manufacturing environments is essential.
  • A strong understanding of GMP/regulatory requirements within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience managing large teams (100+ employees) with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
