Job Overview

The Membership Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in achieving and surpassing personal sales targets, membership renewals, and additional service objectives. This position involves strategic planning for outreach, generating leads within the club, and securing referrals from existing members. Working under the guidance of a General Manager and supported by a Regional Manager alongside a dedicated sales team, the Specialist must be knowledgeable about and actively engage with all services, programs, and products offered by the club. Staying informed about competitors by observing market trends and evaluating their offerings is essential. Above all, the Specialist must excel in building rapport and fostering enduring relationships with both prospective and current members to enhance retention and referral opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales of club memberships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Organize events and workshops to generate leads within the club
  • Meet or exceed personal sales targets, renewal rates, and additional service goals
  • Engage in monthly planning activities, including strategic outreach to secure member referrals
  • Cultivate strong relationships with potential and existing members
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and sales team to demonstrate knowledge of all club services, programs, and products

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with commission opportunities for: New membership sales (unlimited potential), renewal sales, and ancillary services (Spa, Personal Training, Pilates)

  • Discounts ranging from 30-50% on all Equinox products and services, including Personal Training, Private Pilates, Spa, Café services, and retail items

Pay Range: £26,000-40,000 in annual fixed compensation, with variable bonuses and commission plans allowing for total compensation potential of £61,500-77,000 upon achieving sales targets.
