This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities within an aviation maintenance training environment, ensuring a dynamic and engaging atmosphere focused on learner development.

This role may focus on various specialties such as aircraft sheet metal and composite assembly and repair, mechanical systems, avionics, and more, with opportunities to instruct in workshop, classroom, and hangar settings. Training is provided to apprentices undergoing foundational training as well as seasoned industry professionals aiming to enhance their expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver theoretical and practical instruction for EASA and UK CAA, Part 66 training courses, covering fundamental topics and an extensive array of aircraft-related modules.
  • Provide specialized instruction in aviation technical skills and other industry-relevant courses.
  • Fulfill examiner and invigilator duties as necessary.
  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of approved training materials.

Employment Terms:

This is a full-time permanent position.

Salary ranges from £47,000 to £53,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The upper end of the salary scale is applicable to those possessing all EASA or UKCAA, Cat B Part 66 modules or a relevant technical/academic degree. Additional salary increases are available for field-based roles and dual qualifications as a Technical Instructor and Apprenticeship Assessor.

Benefits include 25 days of paid annual leave plus public holidays, a company pension scheme, and a cycle-to-work program.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A qualification in technical instructing or teaching.
  • Note: Candidates without a technical instructing or teaching qualification may apply and will be evaluated for potential, with training provided for successful applicants.
  • An appropriate qualification in aviation maintenance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • A clean driving license.
  • Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
