Interim Commercial Property Specialist

About the Role

Your new organisation is seeking an experienced building surveyor to join the property team on an interim basis. The organisation is currently restructuring the department and has recently increased capital expenditure to address the backlog of maintenance across the commercial estate.

Your New Role

You will be responsible for delivering professional property maintenance services to the organisation's property portfolio, including schools and offices. You will ensure that the organisation's asset management plan is fully informed with building and structural defects. You will develop schemes from the completed stock condition surveys and manage contractors from inception to project completion.

Requirements
  • A degree in building surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification such as an HND in surveying.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in building surveying in a commercial property environment and preferably in the public sector.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices in property maintenance and asset management.
What You Will Get in Return

You will receive an hourly rate of up to £30ph PAYE or £35ph Umbrella, along with a 37-hour working week. You will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment where no day will be the same.
