Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Mon Sheong Scarborough Long Term Care Centre. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral patterns to registered staff.
  • Assist residents with feeding, including providing texture-modified food as needed.
  • Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support to residents.
  • Implement universal precautions and isolation techniques to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Collect and monitor resident information, including vital signs and medical history.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma and a Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Valid CPR certificate and First Aid certificate.
  • One-year experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Medical certificate of good physical and mental health.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and alternative weekends.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English; bilingual in Chinese is preferred.
