We are seeking experienced nursing professionals who are eager to enhance their skills and take on new challenges. Our Preceptorship Program is designed to support newly qualified nurses in their transition to registered practice, ensuring a smooth and effective integration into our team.

This position includes a financial incentive for qualified nurses, along with a relocation support package, subject to specific terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within a designated patient group.
  • Act as the primary nurse, responsible for assessing patient needs and coordinating care.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff and nursing students.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Adapt to flexible working hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour service.
  • Take charge of a clinical area and provide leadership as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experiences.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
  • Understanding of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Experience in assessing and managing clinical risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in physical health care.

Desirable:

  • Ongoing studies in mental health nursing.
  • Personal experience with mental health challenges.
