Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Injection Mould Toolmaker to join our team at Reed Engineering in a modern and well-equipped toolroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, and repair of injection mould tools, utilizing advanced machinery such as Hurco machining centres, Sodick Wire eroders, and CNC Spark eroders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders to manufacture and modify injection mould tools.
• Work with manual and CNC spark eroders and CNC wire eroders to precision-machine complex mould tools.
• Modify and repair existing injection mould tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Manufacture and fit new injection mould tools to meet customer specifications.
• Utilize hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders for toolmaking tasks.
• Wire Hot runner systems and conduct fault finding to ensure smooth production processes.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in injection mould toolmaking and high precision machining.
• Proficiency in fitting and assembly of complex mould tools, including their repair.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding, and fitting.
• Knowledge of EDM Wire and spark erosion, and fitting.
• CNC Machining experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
