Job Description

Nano Fibre UK is seeking a skilled Civils Engineer to support our growth in the Royal Tunbridge Wells area. As a fast-growing company, we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers from our engineers in this region.

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual to carry out Civils work, supporting us in delivering our customer promise. This role may be suitable for a current Civils engineer or a fibre broadband engineer looking to transition into Civils work, with Nano Fibre UK providing support for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective tracking and locating of blockages in the underground system on the BT network.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure all processes are followed regarding permits.
  • Reinstate and make good groundworks, and utilize heavy machinery, jackhammers, Stihl saws, and wacker plates as required.
  • Develop effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and customer service.
  • Prioritize tasks and find the best customer solutions possible.
  • Travel to different areas of the country, as required.
  • Work irregular hours and overtime to achieve customer service targets.
  • Be medically fit and able to perform a physically demanding job in various weather conditions.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet SLA KPIs set by our partners.
  • Be willing to work in other locations within the UK, with accommodation provided if required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably.
  • Hold the following accreditations:
  • NRSWA 01 – 08
  • LA – CAT and Genny
  • SA004 – Abrasive Wheels
  • SAOO2 – PIA Underground Safety (preferred)
  • S7 – PIA Sub-Duct and Cable Installation (preferred)
