Job Description

The Senior Associate Application Engineer plays a key role in the development of our products, responsible for designing and implementing features and test cases. This role accelerates technical knowledge by working closely with engineering teammates and actively managing and escalating risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers high-quality features and user stories, including test cases and automation.
  • Learns and applies complex software engineering practices, such as domain-driven design, test-driven development, operations, and security.
  • Contributes to agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, and helps new engineers learn established norms.
  • Participates in system design decisions and learns how these decisions impact the product as a whole.
  • Learns to support production systems and understands how observed events and failures impact the product.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of advanced beginner on the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Java and Spring framework.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar.
