Position: EBD Support Assistant

Overview: Are you dedicated to fostering a positive change in the lives of students facing Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)? TimePlan Education is on the lookout for a compassionate and skilled EBD Support Assistant to become part of a nurturing and experienced team within an EBD-focused educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with EBD, employing intervention techniques to help them manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve academic success.
  • Building Trust: Establish and maintain supportive relationships with students, creating a safe and encouraging atmosphere where they feel valued and understood.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside educators, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), therapists, and other professionals to implement personalized behaviour plans, monitor progress, and deliver comprehensive support.
  • Evidence-Based Strategies: Utilize proven methods and interventions to encourage positive behaviour, eliminate learning barriers, and support the social and emotional growth of students with EBD.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with students with EBD or other Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possess patience, resilience, and a calm approach.
  • Strong communication abilities to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and their support networks.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are beneficial but not strictly required.
