Position Overview:We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Solutions Architect to become a vital part of our innovative team. The Solutions Architect will play a key role in conceptualizing and supervising the deployment of cutting-edge software and hardware solutions tailored to meet the requirements of our organization and our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, outstanding communication abilities, and a proven history of executing intricate projects efficiently and within budget.
Required Experience:- Experience in the Public Sector or with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
- Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards
- Proven track record of collaborating with vendors and other suppliers
- Experience with Whitemail is advantageous but not mandatory
- Lead and support the technical design of products or shared platforms to fulfill user requirements and business goals.
- Ensure the quality of technical designs and compliance with enterprise architecture principles and roadmaps.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with digital professionals in agile delivery teams to create value-for-money solution designs that meet user needs.
- Engage with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Lead Solutions Architects, and engineering teams to execute solutions based on approved architectural designs.
- Deliver product solutions and take responsibility for product architecture in alignment with engineering.
- Identify, document, share, and refine architectural patterns to ensure a consistent and coherent architecture design, contributing to the Enterprise Architecture.
- Implement architectural patterns by creating reference architectures as practical examples of successful design.
- Develop solution options and recommendations during project discovery and inception phases to guide decision-making on optimal design.
- Make informed technology choices for products in line with the enterprise architecture blueprint, contributing to the evolution of technology policies as needed.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive digital culture within the organization.
- Design patterns for API and Event-Based architecture, including publish-subscribe and data streaming
- Architecting event-driven architectures across multiple data centers and public cloud environments
- API Gateway and micro-gateway patterns, including capabilities such as traffic management, security, logging, monitoring, and authentication (e.g., Kong API Gateway)
- Agile and DevOps methodologies and best practices.
- Microservices and API-Led architecture and integration design tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, containerization, and networking design patterns, tools, and best practices.
- Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and relational databases.
