Job Overview

Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Children's Therapy Team as a Therapy Assistant Apprentice, working alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and therapy assistants to provide therapy for children and young people in various settings, including hospitals and community centers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work alongside therapists to manage shared patient caseloads, completing joint assessments and documenting patient records.
  • Manage own patient caseload, prioritizing tasks and considering patient needs.
  • Develop strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Document patient records accurately and efficiently, utilizing computer systems to access patient details and order equipment.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • 2 GCSEs grade 'C' or above, or equivalent, including English language and Maths
  • IT skills
  • Commitment to work towards completion of the Advanced Senior Health Care Support Worker Apprenticeship over 27 months

Desirable Criteria

  • Nationally recognized training courses relevant to the post

Experience
