Assistant Estimator Role

At Chevron Traffic Management, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Estimator to join our commercial and operational team. As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient contract delivery and assisting with the preparation and compilation of 'in contract' quotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and build client relationships to ensure effective communication and delivery of services.
  • Manage client portals, including prompt responses and data upload, to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Review client challenges and submissions to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with operational leads to understand scheme requirements and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Review and compile traffic management design to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Compile target cost backup substantiation sheets for clients to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Undertake review and pricing compensation events to ensure fair and accurate pricing.
  • Attend weekly and monthly update meetings between commercial and operations teams to ensure effective communication and delivery.
  • Update scheme and contract registers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements:
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience working within a commercial setting, with a strong understanding of contract delivery and management.
  • Knowledge and experience of temporary traffic management, including design and implementation.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, to manage and analyze data.
  • Attention to detail and ability to think laterally and problem-solve to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Ability to build new and existing relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure effective communication and delivery.
  • Full UK driving license to enable travel to client sites and meetings.
Desirable:
  • Understanding of the NEC form of contract to ensure accurate and compliant delivery.
  • Understanding of digital services and product deployment to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
