About the Job

We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join our client's established team focused on RF converter design and integration. The successful candidate will have a strong background in RF engineering, design, and integration, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in the aerospace and defence industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design and integration of RF converters and amplifiers in conjunction with the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that product requirements are completely captured and planned as a series of engineering tasks.
  • Perform detailed design and development to required frequency levels.
  • Be responsible for the achievement of requirements, including cost objectives as detailed within the customer order documents.
  • Maintain visibility of the design approach and ensure through review that the implemented design will meet the product requirement.
About You

We are looking for an experienced RF Engineer with a strong background in microwave components and subsystems, as well as design analysis and development of RF frequency converters and amplifiers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of spurious analysis, linearity, and frequency response, as well as design for manufacture and cost.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and report tasks, risks, and other relevant information. Team working skills, including collaboration with peers and support staff, are also essential.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the development of microwave components and subsystems.
  • Design analysis and development of RF frequency converters and amplifiers in frequency range DC-2GHz.
  • Detailed knowledge of spurious analysis, linearity, and frequency response.
  • Design for manufacture and cost to a high level.
  • Experience of software-defined radio desirable.
  • Knowledge of good engineering processes and practices.
  • Good communication skills.
