Overview of the Role:
As a Fitness Instructor at Fusion Lifestyle, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere within the gym. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safe use of equipment, providing encouragement to users, and designing tailored fitness assessments and programs, all while maintaining a clean and inviting space.
In addition to individual training, you will have the opportunity to lead group exercise classes, requiring a background in delivering engaging sessions to a diverse clientele.
Key Attributes for Success:
- An engaging and sincere personality, capable of fostering strong relationships and making clients feel comfortable.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing.
- CIMSPA membership must be obtained within one month of starting employment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Building and nurturing excellent relationships with customers and prospective clients.
- Overseeing activities in the fitness areas and ensuring equipment is used safely.
- Assisting with the marketing and administration of health and fitness initiatives.
- Creating and implementing fitness assessments, programs, and exercise prescriptions as needed.
- Supporting sales and customer retention efforts.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and handling administrative tasks as required.
- Ensuring compliance with mandatory qualifications and continuing professional development.
- Championing hygiene, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting necessary health and safety checks and promptly reporting any issues.
- Managing customer flow and expectations regarding wait times and attendance.
- Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of gym equipment to the highest standards.
- Proactively managing customer behavior to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
