Salary: £53,569 – £62,497 (Commensurate with skills & experience)

Role Overview:

As a Lead Capability Development Engineer, you will focus on enhancing our engineering capabilities by assessing and integrating innovative tools and methodologies suitable for future advancements. Your analytical mindset and creative problem-solving skills will enable you to discover unique operational methods to deliver pioneering solutions while adopting emerging technologies. You will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our engineering processes, utilizing cutting-edge tools that are reshaping the industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the enhancement of engineering capabilities through the evaluation and implementation of new tools and processes.
  • Engage in innovative thinking to develop unique solutions that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of new methodologies.
  • Lead initiatives that position the organization at the forefront of engineering excellence.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in a STEM field or HND/HNC with substantial experience in the Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in an engineering integration environment, particularly in Aerospace, Automotive, Rail, or Nuclear sectors.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Engineering techniques and relevant tools (e.g., Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, ANSYS).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Desirable: Accreditation from the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) or a similar body.
