Job Description

Morgan Hunt is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to support a public sector client in their search for a Mechanical Technical Manager on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects within the organisation.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions and coordinate with other departments to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on mechanical engineering projects.
  • Ensure the implementation of industry best practices and standards.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical engineering projects.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs and technical drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet required specifications.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
