As a Commodities Trading and Risk Management Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing markets to identify trading opportunities and understanding risks
  • Designing and developing models to analyse economic data, market fundamentals, and forecast prices
  • Performing research and statistical studies of identified risk factors
  • Identifying market pricing trends and discontinuity
  • Designing and formulating trade ideas and executing with rigorous risk management control
  • Reviewing research reports and articles that examine recent developments in the energy markets
  • Building close connections with external consultancies and internal research teams

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Business, Economics, Energy, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field of study
  • Expected graduation date in 2026
  • Prior internship or exposure to the commodities markets, or experience with other financial institutions and consulting is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills in one or more of the following: R, Python, Matlab, C++, VBA, Excel, as well as SQL or other database exposure
  • Superior communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work as an effective team player and add value to the team
