Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Credit Controller to join our accounts team at Holme Dodsworth Metals Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely payments, and minimizing bad debts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales ledger to ensure timely payments from debtors.
  • Evaluate new credit requests and review customers' credit rankings.
  • Set up terms and conditions of credit for new customers.
  • Ensure timely payment of debts and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Negotiate repayment plans with customers.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, and check and post receipts to accounting systems.
  • Send out copy invoices and credit notes as required.
  • Post cheque payments into Sage for various departments.
  • Assist the department with holiday cover.
  • Perform other duties as required by the company.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in accounting and 1 year of experience in credit control.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills around Microsoft Office software.

Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • No weekends.

Work Location: In person.
