About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lift Repair Engineer to join our team at James Grace in Reading. As a key member of our London & South division, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our clients' elevators throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and replace customer lifts to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Perform regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Plan and manage workload to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and order supplies via our established supply chain
  • Recommend necessary parts and equipment to ensure lift compliance with industry regulations
  • Participate in out-of-hours work on a pro rata basis to meet customer needs
Requirements
  • NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Full UK Driving License with the ability to travel throughout the region
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and customers
  • Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude and openness to change to drive business growth and improvement
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively
  • Exceptional customer-care abilities to deliver high-quality service and build strong relationships
  • Self-assessment and ownership of personal development to continuously improve skills and knowledge
