Job Opportunity: Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Rekroot. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing clients, reviewing work completed by junior staff, and overseeing the delivery of our bespoke solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of SME clients, including owner-managed, family-owned, and entrepreneurial businesses
  • Review and approve VAT, bookkeeping, and quarterly management accounts prepared by the accounts/bookkeeping team
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for growing SME clients
  • Prepare year-end accounts and tax computations
  • Utilize Xero and other online software packages on a daily basis

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified/ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Background in accountancy practice (c. 3-5 years)
  • Experience in preparing year-end accounts and tax computations
  • Experience working with SME and owner-managed businesses
  • Good working knowledge of Xero and possibly other online/cloud accounting software
