Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a safety-first approach that ensures compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental policies, and legislative requirements.
- Lead the Operations Team to achieve and exceed productivity, operating cost, customer service, and quality target levels.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement through team-working.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste.
- Recruit, engage, train, and develop the site team, managing its performance and reward to maintain an effective workforce.
- Ensure all assets/machinery are maintained and operate at their optimum capability.
- Formulate and agree annual operational and financial budgets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed workloads at optimum cost base.
- Health and safety qualification, preferably NEBOSH.
- Demonstrable experience of leading an operational function with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Experience of managing budgets.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
