About the Role

This is a senior-level position within the Education team at IBB Law, where you will provide high-quality legal services to clients. As a senior solicitor, you will work closely with the team leader and other solicitors to manage caseloads and provide support in the smooth running of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Provide exceptional legal services to clients, including processing new and existing instructions, and covering all aspects of education law work.
  • Caseload Management: Work on a range of cases related to education law, including school admissions, discrimination, disputes with independent schools, safeguarding, school complaints, special educational needs, and more.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the team leader and other solicitors in managing their caseloads and ensuring the smooth running of the team.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying opportunities and developing strategies to attract new work.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Educated to degree level (with a 2:1 or above) and hold a current unencumbered practicing certificate from the SRA.
  • Experience: Indicatively, 4+ years post-qualification experience in education law.
  • Skills: Good technical grounding in education law, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
