Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care and support to our residents, working closely with our Care Assistants to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care and support to residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
- Mentor and support a team of Care Assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care.
- Contribute to the development of person-centred care plans and risk assessments, working closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams.
- Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Requirements:
- Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
- Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable, with full training and support provided.
