We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in South Wales. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children and young people with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to children and young people with additional learning needs
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Support children and young people with daily living tasks, including personal care and medication management
- Encourage and promote independence, self-advocacy, and social skills
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care Wales
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- 6 months experience in residential care work
- Experience working with children and young people with additional learning needs
- Flexible attitude towards work due to the nature of the shift patterns and unsociable hours
