Caregiver

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in South Wales. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children and young people with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to children and young people with additional learning needs
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Support children and young people with daily living tasks, including personal care and medication management
• Encourage and promote independence, self-advocacy, and social skills
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans

Requirements:

• Registered with Social Care Wales
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• 6 months experience in residential care work
• Experience working with children and young people with additional learning needs
• Flexible attitude towards work due to the nature of the shift patterns and unsociable hours
