About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Dance Teacher to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge. As a Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and improving the skills of our students, while encouraging positive learning and a love for dance and movement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and teach small groups of students with varying needs and abilities.
  • Devise, implement, and review individual education and behavior plans, working closely with other staff and communicating regularly with parents, carers, and teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the overall program of learning for each student, promoting their progression and development while fostering a love for dance and movement.
  • Organize the classroom, resources, and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students.
  • Safeguard all students and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of teaching children with ASD in either a primary or secondary setting.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • Confident and enthusiastic with the ability to create lesson plans to suit student needs.
  • Experience in teaching music and dance to a wide range of pupils.
  • QTS or QTLS status is essential for this role.
About Us

Hillingdon Manor School provides specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 3.5 and 19, across two sites. Our Secondary School supports around 125 pupils, with smaller class sizes and a variety of qualifications dependent on their needs and ability. We welcome applications from teachers with primary level SEN experience.
