We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Renal Care Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding team within the Nephrology department. This role is pivotal in enhancing our acute nursing services and will involve collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional clinical support to patients experiencing renal challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage intricate renal admissions, including acute kidney injury and advanced chronic kidney disease, in partnership with the renal medical team.
- Demonstrate proficiency in renal replacement therapy (dialysis) and contribute to nurse-led clinics.
- Lead the acute kidney injury service and implement the AKI care bundle within the trust.
- Participate in weekend shifts as required, collaborating with the medical team.
- Provide mentorship, teaching, and supervision to team members in clinical settings.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Advocate for patients through personalized care planning, ensuring education and support are provided.
- Exhibit leadership and innovation in clinical practice.
- Adhere to established protocols, policies, and clinical governance standards.
