Commercial Gas / HVAC Manager
An outstanding opportunity has emerged for a Commercial Gas / Mechanical Manager to become part of one of the UK's premier maintenance organizations, overseeing a team of engineers across the Midlands region.
Compensation: £53,181 along with a vehicle or vehicle allowance, 33 days of annual leave, pension plan, and exceptional benefits including private healthcare and life insurance.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
The Commercial Gas Manager plays a vital role in the execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive tasks, and testing operations while providing technical guidance to all maintenance teams throughout the estate. This position requires you to lead, influence, and cultivate robust working relationships with clients, internal teams, and regional HVAC technicians.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance to engineers
  • Conduct PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
  • Act as the primary contact for all maintenance within your designated areas
  • Ensure all technical and compliance documentation is accurately completed and current
  • Service and repair various mechanical systems, including boilers, fans, pumps, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Adhere to safe working practices concerning three-phase and single-phase electrical systems
  • Perform surveys and compile reports as requested by management

Qualifications / Experience:
ACS Commercial Gas Certifications COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A as a minimum
* ACS Domestic Gas Certifications CCN, CENWAT, CPA as a minimum
* City and Guilds 17th Edition
The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience in a similar mobile role, traveling from home
  • Can interact directly with clients and on-site management teams
  • Possesses the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Exhibits a hands-on, proactive, and adaptable work ethic
  • Holds a valid driving license, as this is a mobile position
