Job Summary

Thrive Group is seeking a skilled HGV Refuse Driver to join our team in providing a safe and efficient refuse collection service in the Rochdale area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a refuse collection vehicle in a safe and effective manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Undertake daily vehicle checks and report any defects to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Supervise and manage a crew to ensure the highest level of customer care is maintained.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve collective goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all waste is collected and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Class 2 HGV Licence (CAT C) and CPC qualification.
  • Have knowledge of current transport regulations and be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions and maintain a polite and friendly manner at all times.
  • Previous waste or refuse experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
