About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Expleo Engineering UK Limited. As a key member of our Nuclear business, you will play a critical role in delivering complex projects and contributing to the company's mission to create a world where nuclear plays a key contribution in protecting our nation, ensuring security of energy supply, and meeting our net zero commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems and solutions for our clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement procedures, codes, and standards to ensure engineering and technical activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and manage project risks, and communicate technical issues to stakeholders.
  • Produce and review technical reports, calculations, and designs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess the implications of changes, concessions, and queries, and develop proposals for investigations and solutions.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and teams, and make engineering decisions within your sphere of responsibility.
  • Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorized to do so.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered status or ability to obtain.
