Information Security Advisor

As an information security advisor, you will possess outstanding stakeholder engagement and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to guide and assist our clients with their daily challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver security expertise to a diverse array of UK public sector and related organizations.
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate information risks across multiple projects and systems.
  • Communicate risk implications effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop security assurance documentation in accordance with risk management frameworks.
  • Design innovative security architectures that address emerging technologies and business practices.
  • Provide consultancy on information assurance and architectural challenges.
  • Outline security testing activities and clarify results and remediation strategies.
  • Conduct security monitoring and investigate security incidents thoroughly.

Depending on your level of experience, you may also lead projects and oversee direct reports, ensuring the overall success of engagements.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience with complex IT systems in a technical delivery or consultancy role.
  • Strong comprehension of enterprise information and communications technology.
  • Ability to present and justify conclusions to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven history of meeting client expectations and requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with structured security frameworks (HMG SPF, ISO27001).
  • Knowledge of security and enterprise architecture methodologies (TOGAF, SABSA).
  • Experience with technical risk assessments, software development, ICT service delivery (ITIL), and enterprise security solutions.

Experience within the UK Defence and Public Sectors, particularly in enterprise solutions, is highly advantageous.
