Flight Test Engineer Instructor – Fixed Wing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Test Engineer Instructor to join our team at QinetiQ. As a key member of our aviation team, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive instruction on various aspects of flight testing to students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs on flight testing techniques and procedures
  • Conduct hands-on instruction using state-of-the-art aircraft and ground facilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and update training materials
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in flight testing

Requirements:

  • Aeronautical Engineering or Science degree
  • Minimum 3 years of flight test experience in specified areas
  • EASA Class 2 Medical category

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a team
  • Knowledge of flight physics and airframes
  • Expertise in aircraft avionics testing
  • Experience with simulation in flight testing
  • Teaching/instructional qualification
  • Experience with DSAT
  • Graduation from one of the recognized Test Pilot Schools
