Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our warehouse functions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the warehouse team and activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage site warehousing functions, including inventory control, stock management, and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to satisfy delivery requirements and provide excellent customer service.
- Produce reports showing KPI performance and cascade through our SQDCP framework (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People).
- Manage stock control activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Train and develop the warehouse team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in warehouse management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, with a strong understanding of inventory control and stock management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
