Male Support Worker

FitzRoy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Support Worker to join our team in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities in our supported living services.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for our residents. You will be responsible for providing personalized support, encouraging participation in activities, and fostering a sense of community.
Key Responsibilities- Support residents with daily living tasks, such as personal care and hygiene
- Encourage participation in activities and hobbies, promoting social interaction and engagement
- Assist with meal preparation and planning, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support and care
- A competitive hourly rate of £13.00 (weekdays) and £14.30 (weekends)
- Additional £2.50 per hour for overtime
- Time and a half or double time for public holidays
- Sleep-ins available at £50 per night
- 30 days holiday when you start
- Opportunities for career development and training
- Previous experience in care or support work (not essential, but desirable)
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting independence and dignity
