Fire Safety Specialist

We are pleased to be working exclusively with an established global consultancy to recruit a new Fire Safety Consultant to add to their growing team.
Our client is a leading provider of health and safety services, with a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for making a difference in the lives of their clients.
As a Fire Safety Consultant, you will play a key role in advising clients on fire-related matters, assisting with QA and validations for a team of Fire Risk Assessors and Validators under the BAFE standard, and providing telephone and email advice to clients regarding fire-related concerns.
You will also be responsible for attending training and regularly updating the team on relevant changes to legislation and guidance, providing practical support to clients in using their online systems, and making proactive calls to clients in support of their fire services.
In addition, you will handle complaints and service issues relating to advisors and senior advisors, be familiar with BAFE standards, and manage the BAFE system operating for clients within the Peninsula Group.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant practitioner experience, be able to specialise in fire safety, and have a strong understanding of BAFE standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
- To advise clients on fire-related matters and assist with QA and validations for a team of Fire Risk Assessors and Validators under the BAFE standard.
- To provide telephone and email advice to clients regarding fire-related concerns.
- To attend training and regularly update the team on relevant changes to legislation and guidance.
- To provide practical support to clients in using their online systems and make proactive calls to clients in support of their fire services.
- To handle complaints and service issues relating to advisors and senior advisors.
- To be familiar with BAFE standards and manage the BAFE system operating for clients within the Peninsula Group.
- To specialise in fire safety and have relevant practitioner experience.
- To liaise with external enforcement agencies on behalf of clients, when approved and requested by senior management.
- To amend fire safety management systems and risk assessments following client requests.
- To ensure all advice given meets the requirements of BAFE.
- To develop fire systems and eLearning as requested.
- To assist the Technical Manager in the development of fire guidance notes, standard phrases, and checklists, covering all legal jurisdictions serviced by Peninsula.
