About the Role

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at St Bartholomew's Hospital. As a Cath lab Specialist + Rotational Radiographer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload within the cardiac cath lab as well as CT or MRI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload within the cardiac cath lab as well as CT or MRI.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.
  • Take an active part to supervise and develop junior colleagues.
  • Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
  • Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Participate in Cath lab, X-ray + CT on call rota (within scope of practice).

Person Specification

  • Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge.
  • Have more than 3 years' experience in a variety of Cath lab procedures.
  • Be experienced in either Cardiac CT or MRI.
