About the Role
 iO Associates is exclusively seeking a talented Solutions Architect - Pre-Sales Specialist to join a dynamic team in the UK. This role is pivotal in managing the technical interface between engineering, sales, and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting tailored solutions, showcasing the product suite, and assisting the sales team throughout the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition to project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-sales technical assistance to both colleagues and clients.
  • Oversee the technical evaluation and response to RFP/RFI submissions.
  • Draft technical specifications and provide sound recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings to present technical solutions.
  • Design comprehensive networking, security, and managed service offerings.
  • Lead proposal submissions, ensuring deadlines are met.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

  • In-depth knowledge of mobile technologies (5G/4G/LPWAN, Private and Public APN).
  • Background in Networking & Security (CCNA or equivalent; CCNP preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise mobile, LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall technologies.
  • Expertise in routing, switching, and security technologies.
  • Proven experience in both low and high-level design, technical pre-sales, and project lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with security solutions, access protocols, and tunneling protocols.
  • Linux proficiency.
  • WLAN design and configuration expertise.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (desirable).

Desirable:

  • Experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) or Internet Service Provider (ISP) environments.
  • Knowledge of security solutions such as Cisco or WatchGuard.
  • Understanding of 802.1x & RADIUS protocols.


Demonstrable Experience

  • Ability to analyze competition and articulate our unique value propositions.
  • Clear comprehension of technical solutions and their business implications.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
  • Adaptability to change and promotion of innovative solutions.

  • Minimum of 3+ years in technical networking design and implementation.
