About the Role

Mentus Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist to join their team on a short-term contract at a private psychiatric hospital in Leicestershire.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide a neuropsychology service to patients with acquired brain injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and long-term service users with complex and challenging behavior needs due to progressive neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical assessment of new admissions and existing patients
  • Use of various neuropsychological testing methods
  • Meeting face-to-face with patients to provide a range of treatments
  • Formulation and treatment
  • Considering the full range of needs including cognitive, psychological, social, and medical factors
  • Working as part of an MDT with internal staff and external agencies to combine treatments with other care needs
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist and post-qualification experience and skills in working with people with a range of neurological conditions such as acquired brain injury and stroke. They will also be proficient in the use and interpretation of neuropsychological assessments, as well as in multi-agency and multi-systems working.
