About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our Complex Needs Resource Base team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our most vulnerable and challenging students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with complex needs
  • Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students in the classroom and during activities
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of learning activities, ensuring that all materials and equipment are available and accessible
  • Observe and record student progress, attitudes, and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and other support staff
  • Administer first aid and medication as required
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment, celebrating student achievements and promoting a sense of community
Requirements
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to achieve one)
  • Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable, but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff
  • Patience, passion, and dedication to working with students with complex needs
