Extrusion Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Assistant to join our team at Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin). As an Extrusion Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of pipe in our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of pipe, maintaining the optimum level of quality and adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Extrusion Setter to ensure that pipe is manufactured to the correct quality and quantity within schedule adherence.
- Carry out routine and non-routine quality checks to ensure that all pipes meet quality standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects to enhance efficiency and safety in the extrusion area.
- Support training for existing or new procedures throughout the extrusion area.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess previous experience in injection moulding and have a good working knowledge of production processes within the manufacturing sector. They will have an understanding of all tooling and equipment, polymer characteristics, quality standards, condition setting, and process controls.
We are keen to welcome candidates with experience in supporting Continuous Improvement projects and the development of systems and procedures, with evidence of collaboration through team working and excellent communication skills across all mediums.
