About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Patient Services Administrator to join our team at Flitwick Surgery. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our practice.
Main Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain patient health records and ensure they are up-to-date.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including background work and tasks as required.
- Assist patients in accessing the right services and ensure appointment bookings are well-managed.
- Upload information into our clinical system and retrieve paper notes as needed.
- Perform photocopying and other administrative tasks as required.
- Deal with referrals to primary care and action tasks set by clinicians and the practice manager.
- Process practice post and emails efficiently.
- Register new patients and handle phone enquiries in a professional manner.
About Us
Flitwick Surgery is a busy partnership serving a diverse practice population of 14,250 patients. We are a training practice for GPs and take part in medical research. Our team consists of GPs, ANPs/minor illness nurses, pharmacists, practice nurses, and HCAs. We offer a range of benefits, including the NHS pension scheme, annual leave, and parking for staff.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, and friendly, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a polite, confidential, and discreet manner. Previous medical or healthcare receptionist or administrative experience is desirable.
