Production Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Brenntag. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of shift supervisors and ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of shift supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of production processes.
- Develop and implement daily production plans in collaboration with the operations manager.
- Ensure the quality of incoming products by conducting regular sampling and testing.
- Supervise the receipt and dispatch of bulk chemicals, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with safety protocols.
- Act as the site incident controller in the event of an incident, coordinating with site management until they arrive on site.
- Assist site managers in safe isolation of plant/process for maintenance tasks and process fault finding and cause analysis.
- Report process breakdowns and maintenance issues efficiently and concisely.
- Perform general duties on plant, including housekeeping, filter changes, and assisting/coaching yard operators.
- Maintain records to comply with company procedures, including basic use of M4 stock and transport applications.
- Proactively maintain all aspects of health, safety, and environmental policies and practices.
- Contribute to labor planning and rostering.
- Proactively report near misses from within all shifts.
Requirements
- Hold a valid FLT license (Reach & Counterbalance).
- Have a chemical background (desirable).
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and demands.
- Have a reasonable written ability and be computer literate, with experience using various IT packages.
