Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our client's team in Torness. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares, developing procurement specifications, and maintaining compliance with required standards and arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares against original design and the upkeep of the Spares catalogue
- Developing procurement specifications, in conjunction with Technical Specialists and Purchasers
- Maintaining compliance with all required standards and arrangements applicable to the specification of plant spares
- Completing Item equivalency assessments to support changes to components
- Assisting in investigations to find spare part solutions, including parts searches and obsolescence resolution
- Carrying out Quality Assurance reviews prior to purchase of QA1/2 Spares, including development/reviewing of Quality plans
- Carrying out Quality Control inspections on key goods being supplied
- Advising the wider Purchasing and Warehouse teams to support smooth operation of the Supply Chain Materials processes
