Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Do you have a strong desire to make a positive impact on young lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education.

About the Role:

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with special educational needs in a primary school setting. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to understand the specific needs of students.
  • Implement and adapt educational plans to support students' individual learning requirements.
  • Provide one-on-one and group assistance to students during classroom activities and lessons.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement.
  • Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies tailored to students' needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive school atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, especially in supporting students with SEN needs, is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individual student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
