Main Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Manage a diverse and complex caseload, ensuring tailored support for children, families, and carers
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the support needs of children and young people, and contribute to the creation and implementation of plans for children in need, children needing protection, children in care, foster carers, adopters, and family support
- Representation and Advocacy: Represent the Local Authority in court, provide verbal evidence in public and private proceedings, and justify Local Authority actions
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively within a professional, family, and foster carer network for individual children, families, and carers, and attend and, when required, lead child protection conferences, statutory reviews, core groups, fostering panels, adoption panels, disruption meetings, and departmental meetings
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (such as CQSW, CSS, DiPSW, or an equivalent qualification)
- Registration: Registered with Social Work England
- Experience: Significant experience in relation to children and families, and experienced in providing coaching or formal mentoring to individuals or teams (desirable)
