The Role: Female Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our Homelessness Service. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering individuals who have experienced homelessness by providing personalized support and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Offer comprehensive support to customers, encouraging them to reach their full potential and achieve independence.
- Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs, developing and updating individualized support plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and directing them to appropriate resources.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers, ensuring their personal choice, privacy, and dignity are respected at all times.
- Collaborate with external support networks to enhance customer well-being, confidence, and access to opportunities in education, employment, and health.
- Respond effectively to occasional emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed written records.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with adults who have experienced homelessness.
- A positive and flexible attitude with a strong commitment to helping others.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well.
- Strong organizational abilities, along with proficient literacy and numeracy skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while meeting deadlines and targets.
- NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to pursue this qualification is essential.
