We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work in SEN and mainstream schools across Chichester. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, Behavioural and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to support students with challenging behaviour.
- Provide individualised support to students to help them regulate their emotions and develop positive coping mechanisms.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement individual behaviour plans.
- Provide pastoral support.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people with SEN and managing challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to providing high-quality support to students with complex needs.
